Ghana Visa Requirements -Business Visa Application Requirements for a Ghana Visa: All visitors entering Ghana must have valid entry visas or, in the case of Commonwealth nationals, entry permits issued by a Ghana diplomatic mission or consulate abroad or any other visa issuing authority mandated by the Ghana Government to act on its behalf; Ghana tourist visa is not required for citizens of Nigeria for a stay up to 90 days. Ghana Visa Requirements -Business Visa Application Requirements for a Ghana Visa

  1. You must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must:
    • Be valid for the next six months
    • Have at least one blank visa page (amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used to fulfill this requirement)
    • Not be frayed, torn, separated, or altered in any other way

  2. Photograph(s)You must provide photographs. Upload your photo and we will print it to the exact specifications required for this visa. Follow https://travisa.com/photo-service to upload your photo.Alternatively, you may provide two color, passport-type photographs that meet the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against an all-white background and printed on high-quality photo paper; be identical; be two inches by two inches; provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may not wear eyeglasses or headwear except for religious purposes. Your photo should not be affixed to your application and the photograph may not display evidence of adhesive tape or staples.
  1. Business Cover LetterYou are required to provide a Business Cover Letter from your U.S.-based company. Be certain your letter meets the specific requirements of the consulate by using our Digital Business Cover Letter. Visit https://travisa.com/bcl-order to get started.
  2. Visa Application FormYou must provide one fully completed and signed application form.Use the Travisa Ghana Document Preparation Service to ensure your documentation is accurately prepared and correctly submitted according to consular requirements. To facilitate this, please complete the Travisa Ghana Document Preparation Service form which can be found within the Travisa Application kit.We’ll complete the visa application on your behalf in 24 hours or fewer, excluding Saturday or Sunday, and contact you if any information is missing or incomplete. Once Travisa has completed your online application, we will send it to you for your signature. An original signature is required so you will need to return the form to us by mail once signed.
  3. Proof of Travel ArrangementsYou must provide proof of travel arrangements for the duration of your trip. Details of your intended arrangements must:
    • Include a copy of an itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round-trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination
    • Show the traveler’s full name (as printed on his or her passport)
  4. Travisa Order Form Provide the Travisa Order Form included in this kit.
  5. Letter of InvitationYou must obtain a letter of invitation. The organization you will be visiting is responsible for providing the invitation. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:
    • Be written on company letterhead
    • Include the dates and length of your stay
    • Include your name as printed on your passport
    • Include the full local address and phone number of the organization or person to be visited
    • Request the same validity of visa as in the Business Introduction Letter
    • Specify the number of entries you are requesting for your visa
    • Be signed

    Note: The Letter of Invitation must be addressed to the “Consulate of Ghana New York”

  1. Copy of Local Host PassportThis must be provided as a copy of the passport information page of the person who signed the letter of invitation. If the investor is a foreign national a copy of the residence permit or immigration status is also required.
  2. Hotel ConfirmationAn official hotel confirmation letter is required. The letter must:
    • Be on an official hotel letterhead
    • Display the full hotel address
    • Include the dates of stay
    • Display your name as it appears on your passport. If accompanied by other travelers, their names must also appear on the hotel confirmation.
    • Be signed by a hotel staff member

    Note: In addition to the signed hotel confirmation letter, a copy of the signee’s Passport/ID must be provided.

    Note: If staying with a friend or family (not at a hotel) your host must send an invitation letter addressed to the Consulate of Ghana New York. The letter must include the dates of your visit, your host’s full name, full address, and phone number in Ghana. Your host must also provide copy of their local ID or passport.

  3. Proof of Yellow Fever VaccinationYou must provide a copy of your Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
  4. Copy of SignatureA copy of your signature. Please sign the “Ghana Consulate – Applicants Specimen Signature” form which can be found in the Travisa application kit.
  5. Single Entry Visa ApplicantsThe Consulates of Ghana issue single entry visas that are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travelers are advised to apply for a single entry visa no more than 30 days before the intended departure date. This will ensure that your visa will be valid for the longest duration possible.
  6. Student ApplicantsStudents applying for any visa must provide a copy of their student ID.
