 Role Overview:

The London Compliance team of National Bank of Canada / National Bank Financial Inc. London Branch is in search of a highly skilled Governance and Compliance Specialist to join their ranks. This role entails a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing regulatory projects, managing regulatory changes, and monitoring regulatory developments on the horizon.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing the current compliance programme by developing and implementing effective compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Keeping abreast of industry regulations and updates, providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Investigating and addressing compliance concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Creating and delivering training programmes to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Managing new and on-going regulatory projects.

Desired Candidate:

  • A dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring organizational integrity through effective compliance governance.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial markets compliance.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards in the UK and EU.
  • Proven experience in compliance, governance, or a similar role.
