Processing Representative Senior

  • The position is available in Toronto.
  • The role requires working rotating shifts – Monday through Friday between 8 am and 8 pm EST for our Processing team.

Business Overview

The Processing department is responsible for administering all of the financial and non-financial transactions within various tax types received from our mutual fund retail customers. Our goal is to build and maintain an accurate client database.

Position overview

The Processing Representative Sr will serve as a subject matter expert in specialized products to the team and internal partners on a day-to-day basis regarding departmental policies and procedures. This position is for Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).

 Key Responsibilities

  • Processing all incoming financial trade requests including purchases, redemptions, transfers and exchanges as well as non-financial account requests
  • Responding to technical issues and questions from both internal and external parties around specialized products
  • Reviewing and enhancing internal documentation used for the processing of specialized products.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in specialized tasks and the applicable government products
  • Participating and representing department in projects that impact daily activities and the specialized products.
  • Providing high level of customer service to clients and promoting a customer centric environment
  • Performing quality control is a required duty.

Experience

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the mutual fund industry
  • Preferred operational focus, specifically related to processing
  • RESP experience preferred

Education

  • Completion of 2-year post-secondary education…or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written) (required)
  • Strong communication skills in French (verbal & written) (asset)

 Designations, Licenses, or Accreditations

  • Investment Fund Institute Course (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset.

The expertise you bring

  • Strong working knowledge of Mutual Fund industry, regulatory and government rules and regulations
  • In depth knowledge of specialized products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
